Of all the things in the world to photograph, trios (mom/dad/baby) are very high on my list. I love the balance of the number 3... I love the interactions that are available when both parents are focused on one little person... I love the relaxed atmosphere that ensues when the ratio is 2:1... and I love the total adoration that new parents lavish on their little one.
(Disclaimer: It's not that parents love subsequent kiddos any less. But there is a certain quality of fling-open-the-flood-gates-of-adoration that only happens the first go-round, perhaps when parents are still surprised by just how insanely much you can love a child.)
