Preview: Goodman Family

I am a "new location" junkie.  There are very (very) few things that make my camera as shooting a session at an awesome new spot.  And let me tell you... this one takes the cake for 2013.

The colors... the textures... the light... the gadgets... the treasures... the fresh-ness of it all...

Although I have to say, doing a session with this family would have been fun even in the most boring location on Earth.  They were just the right amount of silly and serious.  They had races, climbed piles of tires, and didn't blink when I asked them to pile in the back of an old VW bus.

Goodman family, enjoy your previews! (And Happy Thanksgiving!)

A Morning Walk: Portland

I am of the opinion that God was thinking of us when he designed the seasons.  He knew how restless and skittish our hearts would be, and how much we would need continual, predictable, beautiful change in our lives.  How much the seasons would not only refresh the earth but calm and feed our souls.

During my latest trip to Portland, I took a beautiful morning walk with a friend.  It was cold (glorious cold!) and beyond beautiful.  I invited my camera along and documented my craving for Fall.  The beauty, the death, the life, the nostalgia, the glory.

I love photographing people.  But these photos make my heart happy.
