Preview: Tekulve Family

Sometimes this city and my camera conspire against me.  Just when I have a cool, neutral type shoot in mind, what do we stumble upon?  Only every brightly colored corner in Phoenix.  And then my camera takes over and before I know what has happened, I end up with one of the most COLORFUL and fun sessions of the year.  

(But just to make sure my camera knows who's boss, I also squeezed in a few moody neutrals.)

It was a fabulous morning in Phoenix, exploring local murals and art displays, stopping by spots meaningful to the family, breaking traffic laws (I'm looking at you, Mike...)

Preview: Wiens Family

It's amazing what you can accomplish in 30 minutes when a) you know the people (and especially the kiddos) involved... and b) when all of the aforementioned people (and especially kiddos) arrive with huge smiles and happy hearts.

Lexi's fun little "can I bring her with us?" toy ended up being the accidental theme of our little session.  Between photo bombs, strange poses and creepy doll-outside-the-window references, it was beyond hilarious.
