Bundle of Joy

One of my favorite things about photography (and specifically family/child photography) is that you get to watch families as they grow, and be there for a series of milestones in their lives.  This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing four families who I have worked with in the past, and honestly, each time is even more fun than the last.  It is an understatement to say that it is a privilege to document these precious lives, and to be a part of each family for a few hours.

Alex, with his to-die-for lips and incredible head of hair, was a joy to photograph.  Even in the fussy moments, watching his parents soothe and comfort him made for just as beautiful a photograph as when he slept like an angel.  Enjoy your previews, Hammerle family!

Big Brother, Little Brother

I love the Stano boys.  Little Luke just slept peacefully for hours and Wyatt became my fast friend.  He helped me set up my gear, and showed me around his backyard.  Add two photogenic parents to the equation, and it was a fabulous family session.  Enjoy your previews, Stano family!

Hello, Happiness

I know that TECHNICALLY happiness cannot be bought... but it comes pretty close in the form of a Canon 5d Mark ii.  I have been waiting for this beast for a few years, and finally the day came.  I clicked "place order" and a few days later, it's here.  And last weekend I shot my FIRST session with it.  It handles very much like my 50d, just better.  In pretty much every way.

Here's my first preview shot with my new baby... the Mark ii that is... the baby isn't mine.  :)

Kendra + Justin

The country lovebirds finally got married!  Boots, belt buckles and cowboy hats abounded and it was a fun afternoon of celebration.  I loved the groom's turquoise boots and the bride's "something old" - her grandmother's wedding ring, tied into her bouquet.  Enjoy the previews!
