The single most rewarding part of photographing families is observing (and hopefully capturing) the tender relationships nuances between each combination of family members. The way big sister watches little brother... the way dad comforts big sister... the way mom encourages little brother... and so on. In a loving family, like the Ripke family, there is so much love that it's easy to document the beautiful relationships. I so enjoy photographing them year after year, and watching the love grow.
