Memphis Preview: Shaw & Griffin Families

There are lots of ways to announce a new baby on the way, but I discovered my favorite method last month in Covington, TN:  Pumpkins!  A sweet fall announcement for a precious spring baby.  

My dear friends, Amber and Nic, have a lot to celebrate (new baby! new home!) and invited me to document this tender era in their lives.  Amber's parents joined us and, as it tends to do with friends, a photo session turned into a fabulous morning together.  We used their new historic district home, their town's square and even their pets in our photos, and when we were done, we all headed to lunch at a local diner. 

I love this town, this house, that baby bump and more than anything, these people.

Memphis Preview: Graham's Senior Session

During last month's trip to Memphis, I visited a part of town that I hadn't seen before:  Mud Island.  Aside from being crazy cool educationally (the homeschool part of my brain doesn't stop working on photography trips, apparently...) it was a relaxed, colorful environment - perfect for a senior session.  Graham was so easy to work with, and his family (i.e. entourage) was fabulous, too.

Memphis Preview: Gonce Family

Tasha 1) is a dear friend, 2) chooses joy daily, 3) love (LOVES) color and colorful photos and 4) convinced her family to drive from Montgomery, AL to meet up for a session while I was in Memphis. 

We played around Overton Square for an hour and I relished every second of seeing my sweet friends in such a colorful, joyous place in their life.
