Jessica + Michael + Pink Shoes

Jessica and Michael are a perfect match: He's willing to wear pink socks for her, she's willing to join his crazy (fun!) family.  Their wedding was full of entertainment, both planned and unplanned.  Planned:  The cake toppers were bobble-heads of the bride and groom.  Unplanned:  A giant dust storm (Haboob!) blew in a mere 10 minutes before the outdoor ceremony.  

Somewhere between the riotous dancing and the impromptu "dip" lessons on the bridge, I realized just how perfect Jessica and Michael are together.  I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, of joy, and of finding entertainment in every moment!  Enjoy your previews! 

 

  

 

Preview: Erika's Dynamic Duo

When you live in Phoenix, being friends with "6 a.m. in the morning" can be a fabulous thing.  

I met up with Erika and her darling (DARLING!) boys at 6 a.m. at Hole in the Rock for a little fun in the red rocks.  We hiked, we climbed, we took turns wearing a fedora, we threw rocks (much to Erika-the-geologist's shagrin) and just thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather and natural beauty of Arizona.  

The day after the session, Erika sent me an email that said this:  "My favorite part is that Max refers to the whole experience as playing on a mountain, not having his picture taken."  And let me tell you - I am STILL smiling from that line.  Thank you, Max, for summarizing my whole philosophy in photography:  Creating memories instead of just documenting them.  

It's just more fun that way.  Especially at 6 o'clock in the morning.
